Glass textiles are about as far from yarn textiles that you can get.
Opposites in glass vs yarn: strong in compression and weak in tension, inflexible at room temperature, hard shiny surface.
Yet I have woven glass with parallel shed formation rather than serial (in computer-speak).
Texturally fascinating and beautiful, the technique is much more complex to master than the simple description suggests.
