This series of lights in a bedroom bay window is in a Federation-style heritage-listed house in Sandy Bay (c 1915). Originally they were filled with glue-chipped orange panes. The effect on the light in the bedroom was eerie and unattractive.
The design is of several branches of Eucalyptus globulus (Blue Gum) with flowers, leaves and gumnuts. The Blue Gum flower is the Tasmanian floral emblem.
