Part 1
This article is the first in a six-part series, outlining how a Republic of Australia might be established in our lifetime.
In this part, the failure of the 1999 Referendum is briefly analyzed, and Systems Engineering principles are applied to achieving what the vast majority of Australians want: a patently Australian nation free of foreign links, and embodying our democratic and egalitarian principles.
Part 1 outlines a plan for a referendum to be put to the people at each of the next three Federal half-Senate elections. The plan is achievable and realistic.
