An Australian colloquial phrase meaning 'to get the worst of a deal' or 'to suffer really bad luck'.
You can use it to describe how Bluey, for example, got dismissed for some minor infraction of company rules or because he was the person chosen to sacrifice for some corporate blunder: "Geez, Bluey really got the rough end of the pineapple."
